THANKS TO "BLACK VELVET" MAGAZINE (USA) FOR THE MOA
REVIEW...
'Influences - Noise! - Sounds like - an explosion!',
says the March of Anger MySpace page. March of Anger are
not for the faint of heart that’s for sure. That said,
they're easily likeable as their songs contain catchy
beats and infectious riffs. The five piece band based in
London do have an aggressive element to their sound.
Their punk rock also features a futuristic industrial /
electro vibe. Jamie on vocals means business when he
blisteringly sneers the lyrics. Any band that adds a
sampled quote to the start of a song gets the thumbs up
from us. They are influenced by The Buzzcocks,
Metallica, The Stranglers, Joy Division and Motorhead.
(they didn't mention Kraftwerk !)
Like those bands, March of Anger are not new kids on the
block and their mature worldly bodies have been around
for a while - the band were originally around in the
early 90's, although disbanded in 93. Their experience
definitely shows in the recording of this four track
c.d. though, with it being a high quality recording.
Apparently the band barely get along with each other and
seldom gig - so chances are, they may never achieve a
high level of success despite the promising music laid
down on this c.d. It's a shame - but if you yourself are
partial to sonically powerful punk with a tribal
industrial tinge, this c.d. should keep you company for
many a night.

THANKS TO MARTIN WELZEN FROM "MASS MOVEMENT" MAGAZINE...
It’s not easy for a band having a keyboard player in
its line up at the end of this decade. There’s always
that comparison to bands like InnerPartySystem or Enter
Shikari waiting around the corner. Well, March of Anger
have NOTHING in common with them. If anything, these
guys have stepped back in time blending Killing Joke
with Ministry. There’s that same eerie, atmospheric
feel, placed on top of a rather monotonous, industrial
foundation. Every message, about war and injustice,
seems to be backed up by a pile driver forcing the ideas
of MOA into your unwilling brain. I’ve got the scars to
prove it, and am now a devoted follower of these
Londoners. Punk needs a new futuristic face and these
fellows are it. Dr Who with a mohawk, inducing a moshpit
in the Tardis. Martijn Welzen.

MARCH OF ANGER'S NEW EP REVIEWED BY THE ORGAN
FANZINE!
Brooding big Killing Joke of a thing, yelling at a
thousand gods in that defiantly angry way of Killing
Joke or maybe Faith No More - no mere clones though,
they're doing it their way, their on bite on things.
Strong stuff - heavy, powerful, claustrophobic, a sound
to drown in - full, dark, impressive old school
brooding, boiling, angry, full-bodied drive from South
London. Four uncompromising tracks, not a hint of a
compromise, a full on global attack and a rather good
four track EP.
